A dry scalp, also known as dandruff (and, in more severe cases; psoriasis) is a common complaint amongst men. It can be a nightmare to manage and is rather unpleasant to live with. Most men with this problem report itchiness, soreness and flaking which can look unsightly, especially when it falls upon the shoulders. This can lead to embarrassment and a lack of confidence in men.

Avoid washing too often: Over washing is a common mistake people with a dry scalp make. Many people feel they need to wash their hair every day in order to remove dry skin flakes. However, this may well be the cause of a flaky scalp, with every day washing stripping the scalp of essential, hydrating oils.
Wash your hair properly: A tip is to wash your hair by putting shampoo on your hair and leaving it to soak in while you wash the other parts of your body. This will allow the shampoo to penetrate the scalp, giving it a deep clean. Make sure you wash away all soap suds.
